Alaethia Doctor, Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Herbalist

alaethia@imaginehealth.us

Alaethia Doctor is a licensed acupuncturist, a licensed massage therapist and an Asian body therapist with an NCCAOM herbology diploma. After receiving her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Grinnell College, she worked as a page at NBC (as there were no open positions for "philosophers" available). Soon tired of the corporate world, she moved to Mexico to study Spanish, and began studying Reiki and Eastern philosophy with people she met along the way. This experience piqued her interests and she began her quest to become an Eastern medicine practitioner.  She has studied Taoism with Livia Kohn and is dedicated to qi gong practice. Alaethia will combine sessions with acupuncture, massage therapy, and herbal formulas, for individuals who are interested in dual modalities. Other fun facts include: Alaethia rode with the Moscow circus riders, loves to karaoke, and her mission statement is "to heal the world."
